Torobilt Corporation announced today that CEO, Art Ramirez, was appointed to serve as Board Member at Large for the City of Corpus Christi's Building Standards Board. Ramirez was sworn in on Friday September 18 at the City Secretary's Office at City Hall. Appointed directly by the City Council, Art will hold a seat as Board Member at Large for a term of 3 years.
City of Corpus Christi's Building Standards Board is made up of 7 members. The purpose of the Building Standards Board is to hear appeals under the Building Standards and Housing Code, which shall be construed to secure the beneficial interests and purposes of safety, health, and general welfare, through structural strength, stability, sanitation, adequate light and ventilation, and safety to life and property from fire and other hazardous incidences to the construction, alteration, repair, removal, demolition, use and occupancy of buildings or structures.
